How the number is calculated
Total shown = the recorded starting baseline plus every successful Stripe payment, minus any refunded amount. Failed and disputed payments never count. There is no rounding up and no fake momentum.
Machine readable feed
Researchers, bots and assistants can read the same numbers as JSON at /api/public/stats.json. It returns the total in cents and dollars, the current goal, and the percentage complete.
